The Victorian Government Trade and Investment Office in the UAE was established in 1997, the Victorian Government Business Office (VGTI) is operated by the State Government of Victoria to help promote Victorian trade and investment in the Middle East and Africa region.
Through a variety of programs and business initiatives, the VGTI assists Victorian exporters and provides assistance to Middle East and African regional companies and organisations to source products and services, business introductions and investment opportunities with Victoria.

The #UAE accounts for 30 per cent of Victoria’s food and fibre exports to the MENA region, and Victoria remains Australia’s largest food and fibre exporter with 27 per cent share of the nation’s total, exportingA$14.2 billion of food and fibre products in 2018-19.
The food and fibre sector is a vital part of our state’s economy. The Victorian Government has set an ambitious target to increase food and fibre exports to international markets to A$20 billion by 2030, and we are on track to meet it through major events like Gulfood.
